Troubleshoot ACT Errors –
If you are facing above errors on you ESET errors, to resolve these issues, follow the steps below;
- If you have conflicting or other previously installed software, get the AV third-party tools and remove the software using the vendor's approved method.
- Visit the eset internet security home page and verify your internet connection is active or not.
- Before you install the updates, connect the system with a good internet connection.
- Open start menu and type "Command Prompt".
- When the Command Prompt icon displayed, then right-click on it.
- Select "Run as administrator" button.
- Now, type "netsh Winsock reset" command.
- Press "Enter" and restart the computer.
- Then, try to activate it.
- If your system time is incorrect on the machine, then possibly errors can occur.
- Therefore, set your system time correctly to get the error resolved.
- Next, Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc.If the host's file has DNS poisoned entries which are linked with domain edf.eset.com, then verify it.
- During the verification, if you found DNS poisoned entries, then you must remove the entries from the hosts' file.
- You can use a text editor such as Notepad to remove entries.
You can also try to download the software again from the eset internet security website and activate with the new password. If your issues don't resolve with above steps, then send email to ESET technical support and contact them.
