My new post.

The auditory system is made of three parts: the external ear, the middle ear and the inner ear. Each one of these parts consists of different tissues. The outer ear is made of bones covered with skin. The ossicles are located inside the middle ear.

They consist of small bones connected together by ligaments. The ossicles are responsible for transmitting sound waves from the newaudition environment to the ear drum.

The ear drum is a flexible membrane attached to the skull. It contains hair cells that pick up sound vibrations and convert them into nerve signals. The middle ear is made of several bones called stapes, malleus and incus, and an oval shaped window called the oval window.

These bones are connected to the eardrum by tendons and muscles. The oval window is surrounded by two tiny bones called hammer and anvil. They are called malleus and incus respectively.
