What Types of TEFL Courses Did the WTEFL Accredit?

The WTEFLAC accredited all types of TEFL and TESOL courses, however for each one it set consistent standards that it expected them to meet.

TEFL and TESOL courses come in all shapes and sizes. Which one you choose will often depend on your career aspirations and how you want to study. In this article, we’ll look at some of the different courses that were accredited by the WTELFAC.

  • The TEFL Academy: The TEFL Academy offered a variety of courses including a 120 Level 3 course and a 150 Lever 5 Course that provided a more comprehensive experience and would stand you in excellent stead to find a placement. It also offered a Level 5 Observed Teaching course which provided students with invaluable practical experience.
  • Entrust TEFL: If you have a clear idea of where you want to teach a company such as Entrust TEFL can be the answer. It provides courses with a specific slant towards Thailand. Its 140-hour certified course is billed as the most comprehensive in Thailand. It comes with specific support in working in Thailand and securing your first job placements. Its guided instruction course was designed to give students the classroom skills they needed to offer maximum value to their students.
  • CiEE: Online courses offer a fast and effective route to teaching. However, quality can vary. CiEE TEFL’s online courses offer fast and convenient options to get TEFL qualified. Its main course was a 150-hour certified 11-week course offering real-world experience through a 20-hour practicum. Students would benefit from personalized tuition with a highly qualified instructor as well as exclusive access to job placements. Today the course still provides an outstanding grounding in TEFL skills as well as support in getting your first jobs.
  • Let’s TEFL: Let’s TEFL is an excellent course designed for people who want to teach and travel. It does this with a 120-hour course that leads to a globally recognized TEFL accreditation offering information about the TEFL industry, different parts of speech, vocabulary, and writing. It helps you understand how the English language works and gives you the skills you need to communicate those lessons effectively to students. It also has job placement opportunities across Chain, Thailand Japan, and Vietnam. If you want to work in any of those countries, this course gives you all the support you need.

Choosing your TEFL Courses

Each of these courses varies in their structure, duration, and cost. However, the one thing they all had to meet was the requirements of the WTEFLAC’s code of practice. This meant each one would be able to offer at least a minimum standard of quality. Which of these you chose would depend on where you wanted to teach and how you wanted to learn. However, with each of them, you could rest safe in the knowledge that, each was reputable and would offer you a good tuition which would help you take your career forward in whatever way you chose.
